All retailers has problems with shrink - some up to 1.5% of their turnover. And a large part of the problem relates to employee theft and errors made by employees at the checkout. Modern checkout software delivers a lot of relevant information about what goes on at the point of purchase, but it is difficult and time consuming for the retailer to turn that data into actionable information. This presentation will show how a retailer can fight retail fraud efficiently today by using the recently launched Observer product, developed by Extenda and Powered by QlikTech.

Peter Sinn directs CP CORPORATE PLANNING AG as its CEO and in this function he is responsible for the company's strategic orientation and commercial operations.

On 17th September 1989, the two founder members, Peter Sinn and Achim Berg, had the company entered in the Company Register of Hamburg under the name of "CP Corporate Planning Software und Unternehmensberatung GmbH". In the year 2000, the private limited company (GmbH) was converted into a public limited company (AG).

Prior to that, Peter Sinn worked as Commercial Director and Assistant Manager of a medium-sized company in the clothing sector. He was able to draw on the sound basis provided by having graduated in Business Administration at the University of Saarland, gaining a Diploma in Commerce.

Howard Davies is Senior Partner and co-founder of Context, the London-based European Market Research firm. Context is the largest independent specialist business and consumer technology research company in Europe, providing facts-based data and competitive analysis on technology markets and channels for the vendor, user and analyst communities.

Prior to Context, Howard received his MBA at the London Business School in 1991, having worked in industrial market research with the Economist Intelligence Unit in London. Howard's first degree was in Hispanic Languages and Literature at St. Andrews University, Scotland.
