Customers and Partners Succeed with Qonnect

Qonnections 2008 marked an important milestone for the next evolution of Qonnect, QlikTech’s global partner program. Qonnect provides a global framework to effectively recruit, enable, engage and support partners to sell and deliver value-added QlikView solutions. Based on field-proven initiatives and best practices, Qonnect continues to evolve into a world-class partner program that will maximize success for QlikTech, partners of QlikTech and, most importantly, our QlikView customers.

At Qonnections 2008, QlikTech announced the introduction of important and valuable Qonnect program initiatives, including:

  • Updated partner training and certification and OEM solution validation
  • Enhancements to QlikCommunity.com, particularly in the area of Support
  • Branding guidelines and other marketing tools to ensure a consistent message in the market
  • Market Development Fund (MDF) program to facilitate joint marketing activities
  • Online tools such as the Sales Efficiency Application and Pricing Calculator/Quote Generator
  • Revised partner agreements that are simpler and ensure success for our customers
  • QlikView-powered “Find a Partner” directory to help customers find the right partners
  • Refreshed content on QlikView.com about the Qonnect program

Given its importance, the Qonnect program is integrated into the fabric of the entire QlikTech organization. Every function plays a critical role in the success of the program. Having evolved the program significantly since its inception in 2006, QlikTech will continue to invest significantly in Qonnect to ensure maximum success for QlikTech’s partners and our joint customers.

Highlights from 2008 Global Partner Summit

The Qonnections 2008 Global Partner Summit held in South Beach Miami on April 27 – 29 attracted more than 350 Qonnect Partners representing 35 countries on six continents. The theme for Qonnections was “The Power of Simplicity,” which reflects the payoff of QlikView and the exploding number of QlikView success stories across industry sectors. Among the many conference highlights:

Keynote Speaker - Stephen Few
In his keynote address, Stephen Few, an industry thought leader on visual business intelligence, shared his views on the principles of effective simplicity and dashboards to give BI users better solutions. QlikTech partners could not help but draw parallels with their own QlikView-driven innovations. Few also “qonnected” with partners throughout the Summit, providing candid, one-on-one reviews of their solutions with QlikView.

Partner Presentations
Examples of how QlikTech partners from around the world use QlikView were presented during breakout sessions and demonstrations in the Partner Showcase. Stretching the limits of BI innovation, a consistent theme emerged of how partners apply QlikView to analyze enormous volumes of data to solve customer challenges. Partner Excellence Awards
Several companies were recognized at the Global Partner Summit for their contributions within the QlikView ecosystem. While all QlikTech partners deserve recognition, a select few were particularly outstanding. Expanded Partner Alliances
The Summit’s proximity to Latin America attracted greater participation from the region than ever before, providing a unique forum to announce expanded alliances with two of QlikTech’s partners in the region:

  • GPStrategy, a business consulting and technology firm with presence in Mexico, Central America and Colombia, was upgraded and appointed as Elite Reseller for Mexico. GPStrategy has more than 15 years in the market offering Balanced Scorecard and information technology solutions.
  • INFORUM became a Qonnect OEM partner. A SAP All-in-Partner and 2007 Pinnacle Award finalist, INFORMUM serves more than 150 SAP customers throughout Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Costa Rica.
